GAJAR KA HALWA
Gajar ka Halwa
- 2 cups carrots,
- 2 pinch of saffron
- 2-3 cardamoms pods, crushed
- 3 cup milk
- ¼ cup ghee
- 10-12 cashew nuts
- 10-12 Almonds
- ¾ cup sugar
- Small pinch salt ( its help in increasing the fragrance of saffron or cardamoms )

- Peel and grate the carrots in a bowl.
Place a kadai on the stove over medium flame.

- Stir continuously to avoid lumps and burn.
- Cook till the carrots are soft and the milk is evaporated ( changed to Khoa).
- Take another pan put some ghee, and add dry fruits like cashew nuts, and almonds. Saute and stir till dry fruits become golden brown.
- Now add these golden brown dry fruits to soft carrots pan and stir continuously to mix well.
- After that add sugar to the halwa. Cook for 4-5 minutes and off the flame.
- Add a small pinch of salt to increase the fragrance of Halwa.
